Aureon Theme Documentation

Aureon is Avontic’s conversion-focused Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme for premium protection gear, technical accessories, and visually demanding catalogs.

Quick start

  1. In Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes, choose Add theme → Upload zip file, and upload the Aureon package.
  2. Keep the imported theme unpublished while you configure and test it.
  3. Open Customize, add your logo, navigation, announcement text, brand colors, and social links.
  4. Review the home page, a populated collection, a populated product, cart, search, blog, article, and contact page before publishing.

Recommended catalog setup

Use clear product titles, accurate variants, concise technical benefits, high-resolution media, and complete policy content. Aureon uses Shopify’s native products, collections, search, cart, predictive search, localization, and accelerated checkout capabilities.

Compatible devices metafield

For structured compatibility content, create a product metafield definition with namespace and key custom.compatible_devices. Choose List of single line text, then add supported devices to each product. The theme can render this data without an app.

Navigation and templates

  • Assign the primary menu and footer menu in the theme editor.
  • Use the included contact template for support or sales inquiry pages.
  • Customize each JSON template in the visual theme editor; sections and blocks can be reordered without editing code.
  • Use Shopify Markets and the country/language selectors for localized selling.

Accessibility and content

Preserve descriptive image alt text, meaningful link labels, logical heading order, visible focus states, readable color contrast, and captions or transcripts for meaningful video content. Test keyboard navigation and zoom before launch.

Troubleshooting

  • Products are missing: confirm they are active, published to Online Store, and included in the selected collection.
  • Compatibility is empty: confirm the metafield definition uses custom.compatible_devices and values are populated.
  • Menus are empty: assign the correct Shopify navigation menus in theme settings.
  • Unexpected styling: disable conflicting app embeds temporarily and retest in an unpublished copy.
