Use cases
RhinoGuard offers three distinct Galaxy Tab case systems: open-face PivotGrip 360 for grip-and-stand utility, compact Aegis 360 Pro for A11 and A9 8.7-inch carry, and Tactical 360 Pro for broad Galaxy Tab S-series coverage with built-in display protection. This guide clarifies fit and included features.

Updated for Avontic’s current 2026 RhinoGuard Galaxy range.
A rugged-looking shell is only useful when it fits the exact tablet and supports the way that tablet moves through the day. A Galaxy Tab held during inspections needs a different setup from one placed on a kitchen counter, carried through school or used at a desk. Screen access, rear grip, stand design and shoulder carrying can matter as much as the outer layers.
Short answer: Choose PivotGrip 360 for an open-face hybrid case with padded rotating grip and integrated stand; Aegis 360 Pro for a Galaxy Tab A11 or A9 8.7-inch three-part case with removable shoulder strap; or Tactical 360 Pro for supported Galaxy Tab S-series models when built-in screen protection, grip, stand, stylus storage and shoulder carry belong in one system.
None of these names is a substitute for the model number. Samsung uses similar screen sizes across different generations and families, while camera, speaker, button and chassis geometry can change.
| Case | Case and screen format | Handling and carry | Current model scope | Best starting point for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PivotGrip 360 | Flexible outer layer plus rigid back; open-face display with no built-in screen protector | Padded 360° rotating hand strap and integrated rotating kickstand; no shoulder strap included | Selected Galaxy Tab A and S models across multiple sizes | Direct screen access, controlled handheld use and adaptable stand positioning |
| Aegis 360 Pro | Flexible skin, rigid rear shell and front retention frame; frame is not a screen protector | Padded rotating hand strap, kickstand and removable adjustable shoulder strap | Galaxy Tab A11 8.7-inch and A9 8.7-inch only | A compact, carry-ready 8.7-inch tablet setup |
| Tactical 360 Pro | Three-layer fitted build with integrated clear screen protector | 360° hand strap, adjustable kickstand, stylus holder and removable shoulder strap | Supported Galaxy Tab S11 through S7 family options, including distinct standard, Plus, FE and Ultra selections | A more integrated S-series protection and mobility system |
The table describes the confirmed physical systems, not a drop-test ranking. No case can guarantee against every impact, crushing force, liquid exposure or misuse.
RhinoGuard Galaxy PivotGrip 360 combines a flexible outer layer with a rigid fitted back shell. Its padded rear strap rotates through portrait and landscape handling, while the integrated rotating kickstand supports reading, video calls, on-screen work and viewing on a stable surface.
The display is deliberately open-face. There is no built-in clear front film, so the original screen remains directly accessible for touch, writing and a separately chosen compatible screen protector. Raised perimeter details help reduce direct contact with flat surfaces, but they do not cover the display.
PivotGrip is the cleanest choice for someone who wants the rear control system without a shoulder strap or full front assembly. It works well at counters, in home learning, during presentations and anywhere a tablet alternates between handheld and tabletop use. The shoulder strap is not included, and this model is not designed around shoulder-carry hardware.
RhinoGuard Galaxy Aegis 360 Pro is purpose-built around two compact device families: Galaxy Tab A11 8.7-inch and Galaxy Tab A9 8.7-inch. Its assembly combines a flexible outer skin, rigid rear structure and fitted front retention frame. That frame helps hold the tablet around the perimeter; it is not a transparent screen protector.
The adjustable rear hand strap rotates with the central module, and the integrated kickstand shifts the tablet between vertical and horizontal use. When the device needs to move between rooms, classrooms, vehicles or work areas, the removable adjustable shoulder strap adds hands-free carrying. Detach it when a cleaner desk setup is preferred.
The A11 and A9 options are separate even though both displays are described as 8.7 inches. For the A11 listing, Avontic identifies the SM-X130, SM-X133 and SM-X135 family; common A9 options include SM-X110 and SM-X115. Match the selector to the actual Settings screen rather than assuming the two shells interchange.
RhinoGuard Tactical 360 Pro is the most integrated setup in this comparison. A built-in screen frame, hard inner shell and soft outer bumper create its three-layer fitted structure. The clear front layer helps reduce routine scratches, dust and display contact while permitting normal touch after correct installation.
The rear system includes a padded 360° rotating hand strap and adjustable kickstand. A removable shoulder strap supports over-shoulder or cross-body movement, and an integrated side holder keeps a compatible stylus nearby. The tablet, stylus, keyboard and charger are not included.
Tactical spans selected Galaxy Tab S11, S10, S9, S8 and S7 options, but those names contain major fit branches. Ultra, Plus, FE Plus, FE, Lite and standard bodies should never be treated as one shell. This is the strongest choice here when your supported S-series tablet needs built-in display coverage and carry utility together—after the full model identity is verified.
If any identifier or camera layout differs, stop and ask Avontic for compatibility help. Never force a tablet into a nearly matching frame.
